One of my favourite nights out in Joburg was at The Griffin, a gastropub in Illovo. It serves fresh, seasonal food and later turns into a hive of cool Joburgers enjoying craft beer and wine.
The Gastropub is owned by Martin Jakoby and Thomas Hughes and is the first of its kind in Jozi. ‘It pays homage to the best beer and wine from home and abroad in the coolest surroundings.’
It’s definitely Joburg’s hip and happening at best!
